Mock the Week, conceived by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, stands as a British topical satire panel show that Angst Productions crafted for BBC Two. Airing from 2005 to 2022, this comedic masterpiece, hosted by Dara Ó Briain, featured regular appearances by the witty Hugh Dennis and various guest stand-up comedians. Some of these guests became familiar faces across multiple series.

The show’s unique format involved six comedians forming two teams, engaging in a mock game show that deviated from traditional quiz elements. Instead, the focus shifted to satirical discussions about major and regional news from the preceding week. This dynamic approach incorporated stand-up routines and improvisational comedy, creating a distinctive blend of humor.

Each series included a compilation episode showcasing memorable scenes, outtakes, and additional footage left on the cutting room floor after filming. The show garnered significant viewership, with episodes frequently rerun on the Dave channel, attesting to its enduring popularity.

Totom worked with Jonathan Gree to build the set for this show, filmed at BBC Television Centre in White City, West London.
