”I Hate You” is a hilarious comedy that revolves around the lives of two inseparable best friends in their twenties, Becca and Charlie, portrayed by the talented Tanya Reynolds and Melissa Saint. These two roommates have a unique dynamic – they share a flat and love to hate each other.

This series explores the extraordinary bond of that one friend with whom you can share your deepest secrets, indulge in absurd inside jokes, laugh until your stomach hurts, engage in heated arguments, and have late-night shouting matches. It’s about the friend you simultaneously adore and can’t stand.

Charlie is a natural worrier who has a dim view of humanity, believing that 99% of people are not worth the trouble. Becca, on the other hand, has an utter lack of an embarrassment gene and often makes questionable choices. Their shared living space is a juxtaposition – Becca’s room is immaculate, while Charlie’s is, well, a bit of a mess.

Together, these two friends embody pure chaos. The series unfolds with Charlie’s bizarre arrest for pickpocketing a police officer, Becca’s comical treadmill mishap, an encounter with a man who believes in a peculiar theory about humans descending from bears, and their surprising dating escapades with older gentlemen, specifically, men in their seventies. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s even a lord who keeps a fly as his cherished pet.

Totom built the main set, a composite set of the girl’s flat, including a fabulous yellow, art-deco-inspired kitchen, at 3 Mills Studio in London.  We also did some on-location work for the show.
