Fleabag is a British comedy-drama television series conceived and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The show originated from her one-woman stage performance debuted in 2013 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Originally produced by Two Brothers Pictures for BBC Three and Amazon Studios. Waller-Bridge takes on the titular role, portraying a free-spirited yet emotionally turbulent young woman navigating life in London. Alongside her, Sian Clifford portrays Fleabag’s sister, Claire, while Andrew Scott joined the ensemble in the second series as ‘The Priest’. Olivia Coleman also stars in the series, portraying the title character’s stepmother.
Throughout the series, the protagonist frequently shatters the fourth wall, offering exposition, internal musings, and a continuous dialogue with the audience.
n 2018, Totom worked with production designer Jonathan Green on Season 2 of Fleabag. When production returned to film the second series, the original café location had been gutted and was in the process of becoming a Turkish restaurant. A gap in the new owner’s fit-out schedule gave the production a window to work with. Totom rebuilt the guinea pig café inside the empty shell, filmed, and returned the space to its empty state before the conversion continued. The theme stayed because the story needed it to: the café was a tribute to Boo, and its survival into Season 2 was part of how Fleabag’s own story moved forward.

Season 2 also included the bedroom set and the restaurant toilet, an on-location set adapted to suit the scene’s specific requirements.
Totom also built props for the “Women Only” sex exhibition, which appears in the series hosted by Olivia Colman.
