The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe

“The Thief, His Wife, and the Canoe” is a television drama series that premiered on ITV on April 17, 2022. The series, written by Chris Lang and directed by Richard Laxton, delves into the John Darwin disappearance case (2002-2007).

Totom constructed the 2-storey 1980s replica composite sets for the show at Elstree Studios in London. We built the Darwin’s house in Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, including their kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and the bedsit adjacent to the original residence. Additionally, we built sets for Anne’s cell and the prison’s laundry room, and conducted on-location work for the production.
