‘Citadel’ is a high-stakes American espionage thriller series developed by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil exclusively for Amazon Prime Video, featuring the Russo brothers as executive producers.

The show follows Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, played by Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, respectively, with Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in key roles.

Boasting a remarkable production budget of US$300 million, the initial six-episode season stands out as one of the most expensive television productions to date. The premiere on April 28, 2023, unveiled the first two episodes, captivating audiences. In March 2023, the series received a green light for a second season, with Joe Russo confirmed as the director for all episodes.

The extensive filming of Citadel took place across diverse global locations, including Spain, Slovenia, Morocco, Atlanta, and various regions in the UK, such as London, Surrey, Lincolnshire, and Birmingham.
