Bodies

“Bodies” is a British crime/science fiction limited series exclusively created for Netflix by Paul Tomalin.

Adapted from the DC Vertigo graphic novel of the same name, penned by Si Spencer and illustrated by Dean Ormston, Tula Lotay, Meghan Hetrick, and Phil Winslade. The series comprises eight episodes and debuted on Netflix on October 19, 2023.

The narrative unfolds with the discovery of a dead body on London’s Longharvest Lane, played out across 4 different time periods – 1890, 1941, 2023, and 2053 – prompting separate detective investigations. The series delves into the intriguing convergence of these temporal events.

A Set Decorator enlisted Totom to build several bespoke props for the futuristic bedroom set. This included a chest of drawers and several wardrobes featured in the series.  The furniture was made to a high standard, employing skilled cabinet-making techniques, and finished with an oak veneer.
