Sidemen – Hot vs Cold

The Sidemen consistently deliver fresh content to their fans, with a brand new video hitting their channel every week on a Sunday. Among the diverse array of video series they offer, one of the most popular are their Mukbangs, also referred to as eating shows. In these captivating broadcasts, the Sidemen indulge in copious amounts of food while chatting with each other. One example from this series, which we had the pleasure of building the elaborate sets for, is the ” $100,000 Hot VS Cold Mukbang.”

The set for this video, designed by Production Designer Lucy Wheeler, was quite unique. It had a central divide with one side as a desert paradise covered in sand, and the other a chilly snowy scene, with an igloo and an ice table, hence Hot vs Cold. The Sidemen sat down to enjoy a variety of appropriate foods while talking about an array of topics, from boxing to drinking, women, and travel.

On the cold side, they tried (with some interesting consequences!) seafood like squid, oysters, and lobster. The hot side featured spicy curries and tasty tacos, food eventually shared across the 2 areas, some even being thrown!

The set, including the impressive 5-meter-wide, 4-meter-tall igloo, was designed and constructed by us at The Backstage Centre in Purfleet, Essex. It really added to the special experience of this Mukbang video.
