The Outer Worlds 2
Experiential Pop-Up Build, The Truman Brewery
Totom was appointed to construct a temporary experiential pop-up installation for the launch of The Outer Worlds 2, delivered within an existing venue at The Truman Brewery.
The project formed part of a live brand activation, designed to immerse visitors in the visual world of the game while supporting gameplay demos, press attendance and content capture. Our role focused on the physical build and installation of bespoke scenic elements, working alongside the wider event and production teams.
Built within a working venue, the installation required a practical approach to experiential construction. Totom constructed a series of custom scenic structures including a portal-style entrance feature, themed display plinths and industrial prop elements. These were finished with textured surfaces, faux metal treatments and integrated lighting to give the space depth and visual impact, while remaining robust for public interaction and high footfall.
Several areas of the pop-up needed to operate simultaneously, accommodating gaming stations, merchandise displays and filming activity. This required careful planning around circulation, sightlines and durability, ensuring the environment functioned smoothly throughout the event.
Experiential builds like this sit at the intersection of set construction and live events. By adapting our construction methods to a temporary, visitor-facing environment, we delivered an immersive physical space that supported the launch while meeting the practical demands of a fast-paced experiential installation.
