2073: Crafting a Dystopian Toilet Block
For the sci-fi film 2073, directed by Asif Kapadia, we created a gritty, dystopian toilet block that reflects the bleak, worn-down world of the story. This setting required meticulous attention to detail, calling on our team of expert painters to achieve the heavily distressed, grimy look that the film demanded.
The toilet block set featured cracked, peeling walls and a faded, neglected appearance. To create this realistic effect, our painters employed layered textures, subtle aging techniques, and a nuanced color palette, transforming clean materials into a convincingly decrepit environment. Each element of the set design was carefully executed to enhance the immersive quality of the film’s setting, contributing to the haunting atmosphere of 2073.
While not glamorous, this project exemplifies our versatility and dedication to detail, even in the most challenging and unconventional settings.
